Pen-Strep is a mixture of penicillin G and streptomycin that is widely used in mammalian cell culture media to prevent bacterial contamination. The solution contains 200 units of penicillin G which acts as the active base and 200 micrograms of streptomycin.

A combination of Penicillin and Dihydrostreptomycin is indicated in the treatment of conditions such as joint ill, enteritis, and some forms of mastitis caused by bacteria sensitive to Penicillin and/or Streptomycin in cattle, horses, pigs, and sheep.

Dosage & Administration
1ml/25 kg body weight once daily by deep IM injection for up to 3 days.

Max dose at one site:

Cattle 6ml,
Sheep 3ml,
Pigs 1.5ml
